The purpose of the present invention is to provide an optical pressure sensor which measures a change in pressure through an output spectrum using a change in a double refraction of polarization-maintaining fiber (PMF). The optical fiber pressure sensor in accordance with an embodiment of the present invention, comprises: a polarization beam splitter (PBS) which separates incident light from a broadband light source into two beams; a polarization controller through which light, which is exited from the polarization beam splitter and includes vertical polarization and horizontal polarization, passes; a pressure chamber in which the polarization-maintaining fiber and a fiber Bragg grating (FBG) are received; and an optical spectrum analyzer (OSA), wherein light, which passes through the polarization controller and includes vertical polarization and horizontal polarization, is exited to the polarization beam splitter to be inputted. In regards to this, the polarization beam splitter, the polarization controller, the polarization-maintaining fiber, and the fiber Bragg grating are connected by optical fiber. In addition, one side of the polarization-maintaining fiber and one side of the fiber Bragg grating are fusion-spliced to the optical fiber respectively, and the other side of the polarization-maintaining fiber is fusion-spliced to the other side of the fiber Bragg grating. The optical fiber includes at least any one selected from a single mode optical fiber, a plurality of mode optical fiber, a plurality of mode slope type optical fiber, and large caliber plurality of mode optical fiber. |
