PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cross point apparatus capable of easily expanding switch capacity without restriction and a switch unit for the cross point apparatus.

SOLUTION: The cross point apparatus comprises: a connection information management means in which a plurality of switch units each equipped with four connection means each having one or more parallel ports consisting of one or more terminals and a switch means for switching connection of lines among the four connection means are connected logically in a matrix form and which identifies the four connection means provided with individual switch units and manages connection information to be exchanged between switch units to be adjacently connected; and a controller connection means having one or more ports each consisting of one or more terminals in order to be connected with a controller which transmits a control signal from the outside based on the connection information.
