METHOD FOR REFINING EPISULFIDE COMPOSITION

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for refining an episulfide composition having slow polymerization property to an episulfide composition capable of providing a cured resin having good optical physical properties and improved in a polymerization property. SOLUTION: The method for refining the episulfide composition comprises treating an episulfide composition containing an episulfide compound having one or more partial structures represented by formula (1) (wherein R1, R2and R3are each a 1-10C hydrocarbon group or a hydrogen atom) with an aqueous solution containing 1×10-6to 10.0 mass amount of a base based on 1 total mass amount of epithio group of episulfide compound in the episulfide composition.
