PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical fiber cable capable of reducing the outer diameter of a slotted rod. SOLUTION: The optical fiber cable 1 has a plastic hollow pipe 2, and a metal laminate tape 3 processed by laminating a metal and a resin is arranged on the outer peripheral surface of this hollow pipe 2. The slotted rod 5 with grooves 4 for laying a plurality of optical fibers therein is arranged around this metal laminate tape 3, and a presser wrapping tape 6 is wrapped on the outer peripheral surface of this slotted rod 5.
