PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a winding method for an elastic fiber for providing satisfactory winding appearance and suppressing cutting of a thread due to drop and doubling phenomenon of the thread when releasing the thread. SOLUTION: In this method for manufacturing a winding thread body by winding an elastic fiber around a bobbin while keeping the number of revolutions of a traverse cam below the number of revolutions of a bobbin holder in an interval from a winding start point to a winding end point, the thread is wound while reducing a lease angle using tha winding start point and an arbitrary point between the winding start point and 10 wt.% of the whole winding thread as a start point to form an inner layer part. Next, the thread is wound while increasing a lease angle toward the winding end point and an arbitrary point between the winding end point and 10 wt.% of the whole winding thread to form an outer layer part. At this time, the thread is wound in such a way that elastic fiber in the inner layer part becomes 50 to 80 wt.% than a lease angle point which becomes the minimum and elastic fiber in the outer layer part becomes 20 to 50 wt.% than a lease angle point which becomes the minimum.
