PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for simply and accurately judging whether grain stored in storage facilities is infested with vermin damage insects or not. SOLUTION: The method for judging infestation of vermin damage insects judges whether grain of determination subject stored in the storage facilities is infested with vermin damage insects or not and comprises a first step of arranging an insect catching apparatus for catching vermin damage insects in the storage facilities and allowing the apparatus to stand a fixed period of time and a second step of judging whether the grain is infested with the vermin damage insects based on the catching condition of the vermin damage insects in the insect catching apparatus or not after the first step. The insect catching apparatus is one having a pedestal composed of a plate-like member not to permeate water or oil, a porous base that is arranged on one face of the pedestal and holds water or oil and water or oil retained in the porous base.
