PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a continuous grit saw which does not undergo early "curved cutting" even if it is subjected to high-speed cutting or cutting of a large work material by improving the chipping discharge performance thereof, and also to provide a discontinuous grit saw which achieves higher-speed cutting. SOLUTION: A saw blade 1 is formed by continuously securing a teeth section 5 made of hard abrasive grains onto one surface of a trunk portion 3 of a metallic substrate, along a saw blade progressing direction. The cutting teeth section has left protrusions 9L protruding leftward from a center line of the saw blade in the saw blade progressing direction, and right protrusions 9R protruding rightward from the center line, and therefore the cutting teeth section is made laterally asymmetrical.
