The present invention is directed to a method of utilizing text messages for transmitting software update data or software patches for updating embedded software in the digital products. Based on this method, software update data or software patch data can be transformed into text messages and transmitted to digital products using text message services, such as Short Message Services (SMS) in cellular phone system. By the phrase "text messages" it is broadly meant a string, or more, of text characters. |
