The system (1) has an arrangement for starting the main wheels rotating before landing the vehicle. The wheels are turned by air, e.g. the air flow. Several lamellas (3) joined onto the wheels (5) are rotated by air. The lamellas are attached to at least one ring (2) per wheel and can be moved laterally out of the wheels into the air flow.
