This invention relates to generating model data for computer simulation of processes, for example generation of simulation models for hospital Accident & Emergency Departments, by providing a simplified input of information about processes and the model for unskilled users. A system and method is provided for prompting for process information in a model, where the prompts depend on previous responses to prompts that define the state of the model. In particular, the process information comprises an exclusion variable for recording whether the corresponding process should be excluded from a simulation and the prompts depend on the exclusion variable. |
