The invention relates to a method for localizing and rescuing people that are buried alive. According to said method, first the people buried alive are localized by means of at least two different localization methods. The results of measurement are then combined and evaluated in a joint control center and a rescue plan for rescuing the people buried alive is drawn up on the basis of the results of measurements, while prioritizing the rescue activities according to the presumed condition of the people buried alive, the position and the degree of difficulty of the rescue with the rescue tools available. At least one of the localization methods can be selected from the group comprising acoustic localization, bioradar, IR thermography, visual localization and biological localization. Before the rescue plan is drawn up, the materials under which the people are buried alive can be analyzed for their nature, volume and/or constitution by using instruments. The results of this analysis can be taken into consideration in drawing up the rescue plan. |
