<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink composition giving a high-quality image having excellent color-developing property and extremely little mixed color blot and non-uniform print density on a plain paper, especially an ink composition having high reliability such as ejection stability, storage stability and recovery from clogging caused by leaving the ink in a nozzle. <P>SOLUTION: The ink composition at least contains a colorant, a compound expressed by formula (I), triethylene glycol monobutyl ether, water and a water-soluble organic solvent. In the formula, R1 to R7 are each a 1-6C alkyl; j and k are each an integer of ≥1; EO is ethyleneoxy group; PO is propyleneoxy group; and l, m and n are each an integer of ≥0 provided that m+n is an integer of ≥1. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
