<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and device of manufacturing a display substrate enabling a precise and easy removal, when removing a forming material present out of a predetermined position and an included foreign matter. <P>SOLUTION: In this method of manufacturing the display substrate, the forming material present out of the predetermined position and the included foreign matter are removed by being adhered to an adhesive body 1. This device of manufacturing the display board comprises an adhesive body feeding roll, an adhesive body winding roll 2, a board carrying conveyor 6, and a member for bringing the traveling adhesive body into contact with the substrate under carrying.
