PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable telephone set with a character recognizing function capable of performing an arbitrary arithmetic operation by digit data acquired by character recognition. SOLUTION: This portable telephone set with a camera function is configured to perform various calculations such as integration by using digits imaged by a camera, and character-recognized by an OCR function, and to make it unnecessary to input any digit data just like an electric calculator for input for calculation.
