PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a low cost inspection device for inspecting the surface flaw of a metal rod member capable of efficiently inspecting the presence of the flaw formed on the surface of the metal rod member with high precision by a simple constitution and having general-purpose properties. SOLUTION: The inspection device for inspecting the surface flaw of the finished-processed metal rod member 1 is equipped with a probe type eddy current flaw detecting sensor part 4 which is constituted so as to be mounted on the outlet part 12 for the finish-processed metal rod member of a surface finish-processing machine 2 for the metal rod member and has the function of inspecting the surface flaw of the metal rod member 7.
