Provided is a video endoscope system having excellent waterproofness, operability, handleability, and convenience, able to support environments where an external power source cannot be ensured, and offering a completely cordless system. This video endoscope system 1 has endoscope units 2, 3, 4, 5, an imaging unit 6, and a coupling mechanism 8. The coupling mechanism is provided with a first coupling section 24 for the imaging unit, a second coupling section 25 for the endoscope units, and a waterproofing mechanism (O-ring, sealing member) for sealing in the interior of the coupling mechanism. In a state where the endoscope units are coupled to the imaging unit via the coupling mechanism, the user is able to view an image displayed on the imaging unit while also simultaneously directly viewing the operation of the endoscope units. |
