PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase reliability by ensuring the control of selective punching of a punch so as to punch a workpiece or so as not to punch the workpiece when successively placing and pressing the workpiece which is continuously fed about a punch switching device. SOLUTION: In the punch switching device in which the punch switching device 1 is provided on a punch retainer amounted to a press die and with which the switching of punching action is performed by projecting a punch in the pressing direction by the movement in the direction of cam action of a cam driving device and backing the punch in the opposite direction to the pressing direction by a backing/driving means when the cam driving device is moved in the retreating direction, the backing/driving means 3 is forcedly back driven with the cam driving device which is moved in the retreating direction.
