PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device, a method or the like by which a roll gap is simply adjusted without necessitating expensive devices such as hydraulic servomechanisms and reduction screws when adjusting the gap between rolls by pressing at least one side of a pair of rolls. SOLUTION: In an adjusting device 30 for adjusting the gap G between a pair of the rolls 14, 15 by pressing either of a pair of the rolls 14, 15, this roll gap adjusting device 30 is provided with an extending/contracting part 31 for pressing the roll 14 by extending and contracting at least to two or more positions and an extension and contraction fixing part 35 by which the extending/contracting part 31 is fixed at a stroke end.
