PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicular alternator capable of realizing cost reductions and high durability. SOLUTION: This vehicular alternator 1 is mounted on an engine 200 installed on a vehicle 100. The engine 200 is installed with a crank shaft 210 vertically placed so a to be perpendicular to the ground. On the end of the crank shaft 210 in the ground direction, a crank shaft pulley 212 is mounted so that its rotating surface may be parallel to the ground.
