In a tubular LED light source individual configurations (4) of light emitting diodes (LED) (6) are confined to a plurality of distinct radial planes distributed with substantial uniform spacing over the length of the tubular bulb portion of the light source. In each configuration a number of light emitting diodes (6) are arranged at a short separation from and with substantial uniform spacing over the inner circumference of the outer wall (1) of the bulb portion, each of said configurations (4) forming individual electrical LED arrays in connection with power supply connectors (3). |
