<p>An automatic reader for a code indicated on a product label having a sticking surface provided with the code which can be read by an optical means, the reader being characterized by comprising: (a) a means for supplying a product label, whose sticking surface is stuck to a mount, to a labeler, (b) the labeler being adapted to hold the product label in a state in which the sticking surface can be read by the optical reading means, until the product label is peeled from the mount and stuck to a product, (c) the optical reading means being installed so that it can read the code provided on the sticking surface of the product label in a state in which the product label is held on the labeler, the code being read before it is stuck to the product.</p> |
