<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable the use of an optical pickup device for a long period of time by adjusting light receiving balance, even if light receiving balance is deviated from an initial setting state, in each of a plurality of divided light receiving parts constituting an optical detector. <P>SOLUTION: A correction optical element 9 is provided on an optical path directed to each light receiving part of an optical detector 8 from an optical disk 1 and on an optical path deviated from the optical path directed to the optical disk 1 from light source 6. An angle from a horizontal direction of the correction optical element 9 can be adjusted by making a current flow in a coil provided at both end parts of the correction optical element 9 and by generating magnetic force between the coil and a magnet member provided in a main body part. Since the direction of light passing through the compensation optical element 9 is refracted at the compensation optical element 9 and varied, when the degree of magnitude of spot light made incident on each of the plurality of light receiving parts is deviated from the initial setting value, it can be restored to an original state. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
