<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a temperature control device for accurately controlling a sample in a preset value. <P>SOLUTION: This temperature control device is composed of a heat moving layer 4 for generating heat, a heating-cooling layer 1 arranged in the vicinity of the heat moving layer, and absorbing the heat, a heat transfer fin 6 arranged in the vicinity of the heat moving layer, a temperature sensor 3, and a controller 5; and adjusts the temperature of the sample held in the heating-cooling layer. A latent heat accumulating member 7 is arranged between the heat moving layer and the heating-cooling layer. The latent heat accumulating member may be constituted of at least two materials different in chemical formula.
