<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotationally operated one-way clutch capable of being designed with a less number of parts, low cost, a small spring constant, easy dimensional accuracy, no fear of catching a weight and saved space. <P>SOLUTION: The rotationally operated one-way clutches 30, 80 each comprise an outer ring 3 having an inner periphery cylindrical face, an inner ring 2 having a cam face 47, a roller 37 for transmitting torque between the outer and inner rings, an energizing spring 35 for energizing the roller, and the weight 38 for receiving centrifugal force to thrust the roller in the direction of engagement while resisting against the energizing force of the energizing spring. A cage 50 is provided between the outer and inner rings for storing the roller, the weight and the energizing spring.
