PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem of generating an erroneous measurement caused by corresponding point matching by extracting a distance needless of corresponding point matching with regard to the measurement of a 3-dimensional shape. SOLUTION: The measurement of the 3-dimensional shape comprises a 1st step for inputting a 1st image photographed at a prescribed position, a 2nd step for inputting a 2nd image photographed at the position horizontally apart from the prescribed position, a 3rd step for obtaining the difference between the 1st and 2nd images, and a 4th step for making a region of no difference a distant view, and a region having difference and its near by region a near view. Consequently, the method and the device for measurement of the 3-dimensional shape with a high reliability while having an advantage of passive measurement method can be provided.
