PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an arm mechanism capable of securely suppressing the occurrence of sliding noises and the wear of parts. SOLUTION: A compression spring 27 (energizing spring), a sliding body 28, and a generally tubular resin tube 29 (low friction body) covering the spring and the sliding body are stored in a tubular upper first arm body 14 (arm body), and the projected part 19 (interlocking part) of an energizing body 18 is allowed to abut on the receiving part (interlocking part) of the sliding body 28 to move the sliding body 28 in the axial direction of the upper first arm body 14 according to a variation in the positional relation of the upper first arm body 14 relative to the energizing body 18. Since a resin tube 29 is pushed by the sliding body 28 and not moved since the sliding body 28 slides on the inside of the resin tube 29 when the sliding body 28 is slid, the possibility that the compression spring 27 is exposed from the resin tube 29 and comes in slidable contact with the inner surface of the upper first arm body 14 can be eliminated and the occurrence of sliding noise can be suppressed.
