PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a colorimetric analyzing instrument capable of shortening an analyzing time and capable of precisely performing analysis even in a high concentration region. SOLUTION: In the analyzing instrument X equipped with a reaction space 4 for reacting a specific component in a sample with a reagent and used at the time of analysis of the specific component, a reagent holding region for holding the reagent and an opposed region, which is present so as to face the reagent holding region in the normal line direction of the reagent holding region and holding no reagent, are set to the surface for prescribing the reaction space 4 and the facing distance H between the reagent holding region and the facing region is set to 150μm or below.
