PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dial display type measuring instrument capable of suppressing the occurrence of measurement errors when a dial is rotated and sharing parts with other standard measuring instruments. SOLUTION: Since the dial 3 and an area display part 4 are made of different members so that they may be freely rotated independently of each other, the area display part 4 is not rotated when the dial 3 is rotated. Therefore it is possible for the area display part 4 to indicate a correct range regardless of the rotating position of the dial 3 and prevent the occurrence of measurement errors.
