PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an oil seal device enabling an extreme reduction in oil leakage and an increase in the durability of a seal material and a rotating shaft. SOLUTION: This oil seal device comprises a casing 4 bearing rotating shafts 2 and 3 by a bearing part 16 and a seal part 17 preventing the leakage of drain oil flowing out from the bearing part. Fluid in a space between the bearing part and the seal part is sucked by a vacuum pump 36. The seal part comprises a ring-shaped flange part 57 radially projected from the rotating shaft, a casing flange part 4a opposed to the side face of the flange part, and the seal material 53 fitted to the side face of the flange part. Also, the seal material comprises a ring-shaped seal body 53a fitted to the flange part and a fin part 53b projected from the seal body.
