PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sterilizing washing machine and control process therefor capable of giving a silver ion concentration within a proper range to demonstrate sufficient sterilizing effect without pollution of washing. SOLUTION: The sterilizing washing machine comprises a sterilizing water supply device, a driving device and a control device. The sterilizing water supply device supplies sterilizing water to sterilize the washing. The control device controls the sterilizing water to maintain its proper concentration to give sufficient sterilizing effect without causing any stain on the washing, detects the concentration of the sterilizing water by a driving current impressed to generate the sterilizing water and interrupts the driving current in the case where the concentration of the sterilizing water exceeds a predetermined value to lower its concentration.
