PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing highly-concentrated carbonated water with ease at a low cost. SOLUTION: This apparatus and method for producing carbonated water which uses a static mixer having 20 to 100 element pieces, whereby a highly concentrated carbonated water can be produced in an inexpensive and easy way, is effectively applicable to the so-called one-pass production method in particular. When the element number in the static mixer is set as N, and Reynolds number in the flowing mixture of water and carbon dioxide is set as Re, Re×N is 100,000 to 2,000,000, a highly concentrated carbonated water can be produced even more efficiently.
