The decorative batten forms/includes a cover, defined by a breaking line, for an airbag outlet. Connection is via a holder on the vehicle and a fastener on the batten. The batten (1) forms an integral part of the airbag casing, and is anchored at a small distance to the airbag cover (6) and its breaking line (S), to the back of the holder (8). The anchoring elements are formed by two straps (3), each with a hole, and an anchoring member (17) on the holder, locking into it. The holder is stiffened by stabilizer elements (10) on the back.
