<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that it is difficult to print the data prepared by using a personal computer 902 whose power source is turned off even when a printer 901 to be connected to a network is connected to the network. <P>SOLUTION: When a user designates data by using an operating means, the operating means acquires the designated data.
