<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air cleaner for effectively irradiating an ultraviolet ray, and preventing external leakage of the ultraviolet ray. <P>SOLUTION: An ultraviolet ray unit 8 incorporated with an ultraviolet lamp 9 is arranged in the rear of a pre-filter 4 and a dust collecting/deodorizing filter 5. Honeycomb-shaped ultraviolet ray transmitting members 10a and 10b composed of thin aluminum foil, and juxtaposed with a large number of hexagonal cells having opening upper-lower surfaces, are respectively arranged above and below the ultraviolet lamp 9. The ultraviolet ray radially irradiated from the ultraviolet lamp 9 is converted into upper-lower components by the ultraviolet ray transmitting members 10a and 10b, and is irradiated to air flowing in the ultraviolet ray unit 8. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
