<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hydrogen generation apparatus capable of generating hydrogen at a high efficiency and a hydrogen generation method using the same. <P>SOLUTION: In the reactor of the hydrogen generation apparatus, a dripping nozzle 3 for dripping liquid drops 17 of a hydrogenated derivative of an aromatic compound is placed; and a catalyst member 4 heated with a heating device 5 is arranged below the dripping nozzle 3. The catalyst member 4 has an inclined plane 4a inclined with an inclination satisfying 1/100≤tanθ≤1 against the horizontal plane 15. The liquid drops 17 dripped from the dripping nozzle 3 contact with the inclined plane 4a and actively move downward on the inclined plane 4a while undergoing dehydrogenation. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
