<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical wavelength division multiplexing network apparatus which can use optical signals of the wavelengths of the same type in transmitting/receiving device without the necessity of replacing an optical wavelength router with other one, even when the number of the transmitting/receiving devices is increased. <P>SOLUTION: The output side of the transmitting/receiving device 310 is connected to the input port IP1 of the optical wavelength router 400 via an optical fiber 342, and the input side is connected to the output port OP1 of the optical wavelength router 400. The output side of the transmitting/receiving device 320 is connected to the input port IP2 of the optical wavelength router 400 via an optical fiber 351, and the input side is connected to the output port OP2 of the optical wavelength router 400 via an optical fiber 352. The optical waveguide 430 of the optical wavelength router 400 has four optical waveguides 430a, which are connected so that the output sides of the two demultiplexing units 411, 412 and the input sides of the two multiplexing units 421, 422 have demultiplexing characteristics of a periodic input/output relation. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
