<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inexpensive kinesthetic sense provision type input device capable of rapidly switching a kinesthetic sense pattern, and of facilitating addition and correction of the kinesthetic sense pattern, and excellent in expandability of a function. <P>SOLUTION: This kinesthetic sense provision type input device is composed of: an operation part 1 operated by an operator; a position detection part 2 for detecting an operation state of the operation part 1; a kinesthetic sense generation part 3 for providing kinesthetic sense to the operation part 1; an external device 5; and a haptic commander 4 for controlling drive of the generation part 3 based on positional information outputted from the detection part 2 and component data 22 transmitted from the external device 5 and for providing, for the operation part 1, a predetermined kinesthetic sense according to its operation state. The haptic commander 4 has: a component data storage part 12 for storing the component data 22 transmitted from the external device 5; and a component data control table 13 for controlling whether the respective component data 22 stored in the storage part 12 are effective or ineffective; and changes over effectiveness of the component data 22 registered in the control table 13 to ineffectiveness thereof and vice versa according to a control table update command transmitted from the external device 5. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
