PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the amount of operation for mouse movement by using a mouse and an interface which are provided for general purposes.

SOLUTION: Normally, a pointer on the screen of a display device 1 is pressed using the wheel button of a mouse 3 to separate the pointer on the screen of the display device 1 into two. The distance between the pointers can be widened or narrowed proportionately to the amount that the wheel button is turned forward or backward. One of the two pointers is selected at the press of the right or left button of the mouse 3 and rendered active. The pointer rendered active becomes operable with the mouse 3. They are controlled by a mouse control part 21 mounted in a controller 2.
