<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rubber reinforcement and a pneumatic tire using it whereby the durability can be enhanced to a great extent. <P>SOLUTION: The rubber reinforcement 1 is equipped with a main reinforcement layer 4 structured so that a plurality of first reinforcing elements 2 are covered with rubber coatings in the parallel laid arrangement and having a first cut end 3 and a narrower auxiliary reinforcement layer 7 having a second cut end 6 arranged to a position beyond the position of the first cut end 3 of the main reinforcement layer 4 positioned adjacent to the main reinforcement layer 4 and structured so that a plurality of second reinforcing elements 5 are covered with rubber coatings, wherein the outermost position 8 of the auxiliary reinforcement layer 7 located the most outside viewed from the first cut end 3 works as the second cut end 6.
