<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a microstrip-waveguide transformer in which a substrate manufacturing process is simple and which has a low loss, and large degree of freedom of selecting the substrate and layer structure, and to provide a method for manufacturing the same. <P>SOLUTION: A waveguide probe pattern is provided on a first dielectric substrate on the surface of a multilayer substrate. Other substrate except the first dielectric substrate and an adhesive sheet for adhering between the substrates are cut out to match the shape of the waveguide. The substrate and the sheet are laminated to form a waveguide cavity in the multilayer substrate. A through hole operating as the wall of the waveguide is formed in a sufficiently narrow interval at the periphery of the waveguide cavity. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
