PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simplify the configuration of an apparatus for simultaneously processing a plurality of video signals which are imaged at the same time.

SOLUTION: A one-system of composite video signal Pmix0 is formed by selecting (104) a plurality of imaged video signals P1, P2 obtained by a plurality of imaging means 101, 102 in a vertical synchronizing timing. A compression means 105 compresses the composite video signal Pmix0 and the compressed video signal is recorded or transmitted. Further, an expansion means 107 decompresses a compressed composite video signal Pmix 2 reproduced from a recording medium or received and the expanded video signal is merely selected (109) in the vertical synchronizing timing as the video distribution processing to obtain a plurality of systems of the original video signals. Interpolation processing is applied to the video signal to compensate fields lost by the selection in units of fields at composition.
