GTC FRAME STRUCTURE AND ITS TRANSMISSION METHOD FOR ONT MANAGEMENT CONTROL INFORMATION TRANSMISSION IN GPON

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a GTC frame structure and its transmission method for ONT management control information transmission in GPON.

SOLUTION: The method for transmitting management control information from OLT to ONT via a giga-bit passive optical subscriber network includes a first step of configuring a GTC frame including a physical control block downstream (PCBd) part including an ONT management control channel (OMCC) field containing any one of either destination identifier information for supporting a GEM mode or destination identifier information for supporting an asynchronous transfer mode, and a payload part including data, and a second step of transmitting the GTC frame.
