<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve a passenger protection performance at the time of vehicle collision and improve reliability in operation at its normal uses, in a parking brake device. <P>SOLUTION: A first bracket 2 fixed to a first vehicle body side member 7A supporting a pedal arm 4 and a second bracket 3 fixed to a second vehicle body side member 7B and having one end 5Aa of an outer cable 5A fixed to it are integrally connected to each other by a fastening bolt 12 and at the same time even if a passenger collides against the pedal arm 4 when the vehicle shows a face-to-face collision, a tension force of an inner cable 5B may not act as a rotating reaction force of the pedal arm 4, so that the passenger is scarcely damaged with the pedal arm 4 and a high passenger protection performance is assured. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
