TIRE VULCANIZING METHOD AND SELF-LOCKING TIRE MOLD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To manufacture a simple self-locking tire mold having a high strength without using numerous skeleton rods nor joints. SOLUTION: A segmented mold 2 for molding a tire comprises a plurality of tread-forming segments 4 movable in the axial and radial directions, two side-wall forming plates, i.e., a top side-wall forming plate 8 and a bottom side-wall forming plate 6, and a top locking ring 10 comprising a plurality of means for fixing the segments 4 arranged with an interval in the circumferential direction for forming a path having a predetermined angle to allow shrinkage of the segments 4 in the radial direction upon closing the mold 2 to set it at the locking position.
