PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a design support method and equipment therefor, for calculating a defective molding position of a molded article caused by shortage of a filling, with a relatively short calculation time, and also to provide a design method of the molded article using the above method and equipment. SOLUTION: In regard to a cavity produced in a mold, an analytic model is generated, and a flow ratio and a flow length distribution in the cavity are calculated as molding parameter by performing thickness calculation and flow analysis. Using a predetermined threshold being set, material by material, a position having a high molding parameter is identified, and thereby the defective mold position can be estimated.
