PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a spray material composition excellent in setting properties, strength development, dust suppression, and rebound factor. SOLUTION: The spray material composition is prepared by mixing a rapid hardening agent composed of calcium aluminate and/or an alkali metal aluminate with cement containing a sulfate and a fine blast-furnace granulated slag powder with a basicity of 1.7-2.1. The spray material contains the spray material composition; and since excellent in long-term strength and setting properties, the spray material can reduce its spray thickness in comparison with a conventional spray material, reducing spray workhour. The spraying method using the spray material can be widely used, e.g., in tunnel construction works, such as for roads, railroads, or headraces, requiring quick setting properties just after spraying; in construction works, such as for underground structures such as a petroleum stockpile tank or an electric power plant; and in remedial works for concrete structures.
