PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stairs lifting carriage capable of reducing certainly the burden about the load transporting work and preventing a load and/or a moving body from breakage. SOLUTION: The stairs lifting carriage 1 is composed of the moving body 2 whereon the load to be transported is placed and an elevator device 6 installed at the other end of the moving body 2. The moving body 2 is furnished at its one end with a supporting part 5 for the operator to make supporting, while the elevator device 6 is furnished with casters 10 attached to the moving body 2 rotatably through an axle 11 and a driving mechanism 20 to rotate the casters 10 round the axle with respect to the moving body 2, and the casters 10 are furnished at the peripheries with rotors 12 installed in positions in rotational symmetry with each other about the axle 11 and each having at least three apices and rollers 13 attached rotatably at the apices of the rotors 12. Each rotor 12 is provided at the periphery between adjoining apices with a guide surface 12s slidably, as having a small friction resistance, and recessed toward the center in the shape of a circular arc.
