PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a driving mode changeover control device for a transfer capable of reducing certainly generation of changeover sounds and shocks at the time of changing over the driving mode and precluding such a situation certainly that the intended changing-over is not implemented owing to leaving the brake unapplied, any failure in the brake application signal, etc. SOLUTION: The transfer 4 is equipped with a transfer control unit 26 to emit a changeover actuation command in the driving mode position to a shift actuator in case the specified changeover conditions are met at the time of changing over the driving mode operated by the driver and is furnished with a brake controller 29 to give a braking force to a wheel in conformity to a command given externally, wherein the transfer control unit 26 emits a braking force giving command to the brake controller 29 if the changeover conditions except the brake application condition are met and then emits a changeover actuation command to the shift actuator.
