<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a digital camera capable of automatically selecting and storing a vivid image from continuously shot images of a plurality frames. <P>SOLUTION: A high frequency detection part 17 obtains an AF evaluation value by extracting and integrating high frequency components, respectively from continuously shot pieces of image data of the plurality of frames. A recording region of a recorder 16 is divided into a recording region for storage and a recording region for erasure, a folder is formed in the recording region for erasure and managed by a folder management part 21. A CPU14 selects a representative frame with large AF evaluation value from among the plurality of continuously shot frames and records image data of the representative frame to the recording region for storage, and controls a media controller 15 so that pieces of image data of other frames are recorded to the folder of the recording region for erasure in block. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
