PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a drive shaft supporting structure in a scroll compressor excellent in surface damage resistance characteristic, a component of the scroll compressor, a method for manufacturing the drive shaft supporting structure in the scroll compressor, and a method for manufacturing the component of the scroll compressor.

SOLUTION: In a drive shaft supporting structure 1 in a scroll compressor, a turning scroll 5 is revolved in a deviated manner around a predetermined axis by the rotation of a drive shaft 3, and has a deep groove ball bearing 41. At least any one member of an inner ring 33, an outer ring 31 and balls 35 of the deep groove ball bearing 41 has a carbo-nitrided layer, and the grain size number of austenitic grain of the member exceeds 10.
